Battle of the Alamo
- February 4th - March 6th 1836
- Texans did not want to give up the Alamo to Santa Anna
- Texans were pinned in the Alamo and a battle began
- Mexico won
- "Remember the Alamo" - cry to encourage revolt
Important People of the Alamo
- William B. Travis - Texas military, leader, wrote "Victory or Death" letter, died at the Alamo
- James Bowie - Texas military leader, fell sick and died at the Alamo
- David Crockett - famous frontiersman, fought and died at the Alamo
- James Bonham - last to get to the Alamo, was too late.

Goliad
- Fannin and his men surrendered to General Urrea
- Santa Anna ordered his army to shoot the prisoners
- Francita Alvarex helped some prisoners escape
- Mexican soldiers fired on Fannin and his unarmed men
- This event earned the battle cry "Remember Goliad"
